What runners really thought of a race — PB potential, scenery, crowd support and more, shared straight from their own post-race reflections.
Pacing Duties 💜🏆
“Loved it this year. I was pacing 60 mins and the plan here from Open Podium really helped. BBB10k gets better every year and the crowds on the high street were fantastic. That final stretch from the roundabout to the Abbey has to be one of the best finishes anywhere in the country. Organisation was fantastic and great to see Hastings Runners winning so many awards 💚🖤 oh and the medal? Lush!!”
4 Half Marathon PBs here 🏅
“Great memories of Paddock Wood, as I've run a PB here on 4 or 5 separate occasions. It's a fast route for several reasons — very little elevation, with the toughest hill early on, and then just some short, sharp inclines towards the end. You get some protection from the wind in the lanes, and there aren't too many twists and turns to worry about. Crowd support is limited, but a decent medal always awaits at the end. Highly recommend this one — park at the train station if you do it, much closer to the finish line than the official parking.”

Want to leave your own reflection?
After you've run a race, head to My Dashboard and find it under
"Results" or "Your Races" — there's an "Add" (or "Edit") link next to it that opens the reflection form. Rate
things like PB potential, scenery, crowd support and race goodies, add a note if you like, and choose whether
to share it publicly. Shared reflections only ever show your positive scores and your own words — never a low
rating — and only appear here once an admin has approved them.
