Sherwood Pines 10K Trail

Race Description

The shortest distance at Nice Work's spring Sherwood Pines weekend, and a single lap of the same course that half marathon runners cover twice - so 10k entrants get the full character of the route, just without the repetition. It's an undulating multi-terrain course through Sherwood Forest's bridleways and fire roads, with enough climbing and technical underfoot variety to reward some trail experience over flat road speed.

Run in mid-March alongside the half marathon and the newer 20 Mile option, it draws a mixed field - some using it as a shorter outing alongside friends or family doing the longer distances, others treating it as a standalone trail 10k in its own right. Entrants get a bespoke medal, free event photography, and there are prizes for the leading finishers, giving it more of a proper-race feel than some standalone forest 10ks. It suits runners who want a taste of Sherwood Pines' terrain without the commitment of the half marathon or 20 mile, including those relatively new to off-road racing.
