Robertsbridge Midsummer 5K

Race Description

The shorter distance at Nice Work's Robertsbridge Midsummer event, starting at the same 18:00 evening slot from Robertsbridge Rec Ground on The Clappers, but covering one lap of the undulating multi-terrain course rather than the two laps the 10k runners complete. The surfaces - a mix of traffic-free paths, tracks and road sections in and around the village - are the same as the 10k, just half the distance and half the climbing.

Like the 10k, it's supported locally by the Robertsbridge Bonfire Society and organised by Nice Work, with the same midsummer evening format: volunteer marshals, a BBQ and bar afterwards, and a non-chip-timed junior run alongside it for younger runners. It's explicitly pitched as an ideal first 5k for newcomers as well as a leg-stretcher for more experienced runners.

It suits anyone wanting a shorter, more approachable introduction to Robertsbridge's multi-terrain course - beginners, families, or 10k runners' friends and relatives looking to join in without tackling the longer distance - all while sharing the same relaxed, community summer-evening occasion as the 10k.
