Kent Spring Half Marathon

Race Description

The half marathon runs alongside the marathon at Nice Work's newly relocated Kent Spring event, based from 2027 at Woodchurch Green in Woodchurch, near Ashford - a change from the race's previous years at Sandyacres Sports Club further north. Half marathon runners cover a single lap of the same undulating, quiet-lane route through the Kent countryside around Woodchurch that marathon runners complete twice, UKA-licensed and accurately measured.

As the one-lap option it's a more straightforward outing than the marathon's repeat circuit, but shares the same genuinely undulating character - quiet wide lanes through the "Garden of England" rather than a flat, fast course. Free parking, a bespoke medal, complimentary photographs and prizes for the leading finishers all apply here too, with Ashford International the nearest station for non-drivers.

Like the marathon, this is a new course for 2027 rather than a continuation of the old Charing/Westwell route, so anyone's history from previous years at Sandyacres was set on different terrain. It suits half marathon runners wanting a scenic, undulating spring test through rural Kent, and - being the course's first year at this venue - an early chance to set what becomes the new course record.
